One of San Francisco’s most beloved Halloween traditions is back. The California Academy of Sciences will host its SuperNatural Halloween Extravaganza on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., with VIP early entry at 5 p.m., at its iconic home in Golden Gate Park.
This all-ages night invites the whole family to come in costume and explore the museum after hours. Guests can meet live animals, encounter spine-tingling scientific specimens, trick-or-treat through the galleries, dance at the silent disco inside the aquarium, and enjoy face painting, games, and a lounge designed just for middle schoolers.
Presenting sponsor Zenni Optical adds a caring touch: free kids’ vision screenings and free EyeQLenz glasses will be offered on site during the party.
Tickets start at $45, with discounts available for Academy members. Costumes and curiosity are all you need for a spooktacular night in Golden Gate Park.
