Some dances never fade from memory — and this fall, San Antonio gets to dance the Magic Dance all over again. On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts brings Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert to the H-E-B Performance Hall for one unforgettable night.
The show celebrates the 40th anniversary of Jim Henson’s beloved 1986 musical fantasy, starring Jennifer Connelly and the legendary David Bowie as the Goblin King Jareth. Fans watch the cult classic on a stunning HD screen while a live band performs the full soundtrack in perfect sync with Bowie’s iconic vocals.
From “Magic Dance” to the sweeping score by Bowie and Trevor Jones, the music comes alive like never before as the fantastical creatures of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop leap off the screen. Costumes are encouraged, singing along is a must, and cheering for your favorite characters is practically mandatory.
Tickets start at $38 for the 7:30 p.m. performance, with VIP add-ons available, and there’s a six-ticket limit per order so everyone gets a fair chance. Happy City News can’t think of a better way to celebrate four decades of goblins, magic, and the Goblin King.
