Your four-legged best friend is invited to the wildest Halloween party in town! San Antonio Zoo is hosting Trick-or-Tail Dog Day on Sunday, October 18, 2026, a full day of tail-wagging fun right in the middle of the zoo’s beloved Zoo Boo celebration.
From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., pups and their people can explore the zoo together, snap festive fall photos, and join in Dog Trick or Treating plus a Dog Costume Contest. The first 250 dogs through the gates will score a special commemorative bandana — arrive early!
To join the fun, purchase a $27.99 Dog Day ticket for each dog, along with regular zoo admission or an active membership for each human guest. Dogs must have up-to-date rabies vaccinations and stay on a non-retractable leash no longer than six feet, and each dog needs a designated adult companion.
Mark your calendar, grab the leash, and get those costumes ready — Trick-or-Tail Dog Day promises unforgettable fall memories with your pup by your side, presented by VEG ER for Pets.
