‘Escape Into Wonder’: Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Full 2026–27 Season at a Glance

Five programs, four full-length story ballets and one message: escape into wonder. Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s 2026–27 season under Artistic Director Adam W. McKinney is built from beloved tales told large at the Benedum Center.

The season opens with Giselle (October 23–25, 2026), then the farewell run of Terrence S. Orr’s The Nutcracker (December 4–27). February tumbles into Alice in Wonderland (February 12–21, 2027) with world-premiere choreography by André Santos. Spring brings Spring Mix: World Premieres — four ballets new to the company spanning classical and contemporary styles — and the season closes with The Sleeping Beauty with the PBT Orchestra (May 7–9, 2027), Tchaikovsky’s most sumptuous score in a fairy-tale finale.

Families can bundle the three storybook titles with PBT’s Family Fairy Tale package. Subscriptions and single tickets are at pbt.org; the Benedum Center is at 237 7th Street downtown.
