Philadelphia is about to experience magic like never before — right at your own table. The Magicians Table, the acclaimed immersive magic experience direct from London, makes its Philadelphia premiere at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts from October 21 through November 22, 2026.
Forget everything you know about stage magic. This is magic you can almost touch: world-class magicians perform astonishing close-up illusions inches from your eyes, while live music, theater, comedy, and handcrafted cocktails wrap the evening in pure wonder.
The night tells the story of fictional showman and carnival owner Dieter Roterburg. His friends and fellow performers gather one last time to celebrate the legendary illusionist’s life — hosted by his widow, Calliope — but as the evening unfolds, Roterburg’s letters hint at one final grand illusion. Guests sit at semicircular tables of 12 in a speakeasy-style setting inside the Kimmel Center’s SEI Innovation Studio, becoming part of the story themselves.
The production was written by BAFTA and Olivier Award-winning writer Iain Sharkey, renowned for his work with celebrated illusionist Derren Brown, and is produced by Alison Spiriti and Justin Sudds of Right Angle Entertainment.
Perfect for date nights, celebrations, and evenings with friends, The Magicians Table runs about 100 minutes and offers VIP packages, whole-table bookings — “Dieter’s Table” — and group discounts. The show is designed for adults 18 and older, with select Saturday 1 p.m. matinees open to guests 14 and up. Tickets are on sale now at ensembleartsphilly.org.
