Longwood Gardens Announces a Cosmic Christmas: Half a Million Lights From Nov 20

This holiday season, Longwood Gardens is shooting for the stars. The beloved “A Longwood Christmas” returns November 20, 2026, through January 10, 2027, with a dazzling cosmic theme that turns 1,100 acres of gardens into a glowing galaxy of holiday wonder.

Guests begin their journey through the cosmos at the Visitor Center, where real images from the Hubble and James Webb space telescopes set the tone for the whole visit. Inside the conservatories, a gilded supernova of woven vines greets visitors in the East Conservatory, while the Exhibition Hall sparkles with planet-like forms made of moss and poinsettias, glowing Moravian stars, and floating orchid baskets. A 22-foot rotating Fraser fir on the Center Walk and a Music Room transformed into an astronomer’s observatory complete the indoor magic.

Outdoors, more than half a million lights trace Flower Garden Drive, the beloved Meadow Tunnel returns in a new light, and water jets dance to holiday music in the Italian Water Garden. Little ones will love the Garden Railway and the decorated treehouses, while grown-ups can sip Longwood’s special holiday brew in the Beer Garden or savor a prix-fixe dinner at the 1906 restaurant.

Timed tickets are on sale now at longwoodgardens.org, from $45-$52 for adults and $25-$32 for youth ages 5-18. Get yours early – this starry celebration is one of the most beloved holiday traditions in the Philadelphia region.
