Philadelphia is turning up the volume this fall and winter! Visit Philadelphia has just released its “Live From Philadelphia” guide, a handpicked roundup of more than 20 live music, comedy, theater and family entertainment experiences filling stages across the city and the region through the end of the year. It is the perfect excuse to plan a night out — or a whole season of them.
Music lovers are in for a treat. Philly Music Fest celebrates its 10th anniversary October 12–18, 2026, with seven nights and 25 Philadelphia-area bands playing independently owned venues across town. The citywide Coltrane 100 tribute to jazz legend John Coltrane continues through November 12, 2026, with concerts and community programs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, LOVE Park, the Mann Center and Temple Performing Arts Center. And the Philadelphia Orchestra takes the stage at Marian Anderson Hall with Carmina Burana (October 22–25) and a special night with Yo-Yo Ma and Emanuel Ax on December 6.
Comedy fans can head to “Philly’s Funniest Block” on Sansom Street in Rittenhouse, home to CSz Philadelphia (ComedySportz) and Helium Comedy Club. New Year’s Eve belongs to the HiJinx Festival, returning for its 9th year December 30–31 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center with two nights of electronic dance music in the heart of Center City. Broadway tours, thrillers and kid-friendly productions round out a season packed with something for everyone.
From jazz under the stars to soulful holiday concerts — including Philadelphia native Musiq Soulchild returning to City Winery December 17–22 — the stage is set. Happy City News will keep you posted on the very best of Philly’s live scene all season long.
