Great news for art lovers in Philadelphia: the Philadelphia Museum of Art has extended its beloved Pay What You Wish (PWYW) Friday Nights program through June 25, 2027, the final Friday of its fiscal year.
Every Friday evening after 5 p.m., visitors choose how much to pay for full museum access — including the permanent collection, live music, special events, and exclusive food and drink offers. It is one of the most welcoming ways to experience one of America’s great art museums.
The program returned on April 10, 2026, timed with the museum’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th celebration, and the response has been remarkable: Friday night attendance is up 87 percent compared with the same period in 2025, when adult admission was $15.
The extension means visitors can keep enjoying accessible Friday nights during the run of “A Nation of Artists,” on view through July 5, 2027. Gather your friends, pick your price, and make Friday nights your standing date with art in Philadelphia.
