Music, stories and a room full of little listeners: the Orlando Philharmonic’s Symphony Storytime series is back for the 2026/2027 season — and thanks to a generous grant from the Universal Orlando Foundation, every ticket is FREE.
Specially designed for children ages 3 to 7, each concert pairs live music performed by Orlando Philharmonic musicians with narration and beautiful hand-drawn illustrations that bring favorite children’s classics to life — a gentle, joyful first visit to the world of orchestral music for the youngest ears.
This season’s lineup brings four family favorites to the stage: the Halloween-flavored Spooky Serenades, Prokofiev’s classic Peter and the Wolf, Tunji and the Giant, and Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals.
Upcoming dates include Spooky Serenades at the Howey Music Series at Far Reach Ranch on Saturday, October 24 (10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.), and Peter and the Wolf at the Orange County Library’s South Trail Branch on Thursday, November 19 at 10:30 a.m. — a free event. More performances continue at The Plaza Live through April 2027, with Tunji and the Giant in late January and Carnival of the Animals in April. Families can reserve up to four free tickets per order at orlandophil.org, and since many concerts sell out quickly, booking ahead is a smart idea.
