Tremé Fall Festival Returns October 16 and 24 with Free Music, Food and a Second Line Through History

One of New Orleans’ most soulful neighborhoods is throwing its own party, and everyone is invited. The Tremé Fall Festival returns on October 16 and 24, 2026, with two days of free music, food and pure neighborhood pride in the heart of historic Tremé.

The celebration kicks off on Friday, October 16, with the Patron Party, an evening of live music by Kurt Brunus, a special honoree recognition for Luther Gray, great food, an open bar and an auction — all supporting the mission of keeping Tremé’s history and culture alive.

Then, on Saturday, October 24, Festival Day takes over the St. Augustine Catholic Church yard and the surrounding streets at 1205 Governor Nicholls Street. The day opens with a joyful Second Line parade rolling through Tremé, featuring Social Pleasure Clubs, local brass bands and the beloved Baby Dolls in all their feathered glory.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a lineup of local musicians and buskers, a food and marketplace showcase with Tremé flavors, creations by local artists and makers, and this year’s festival poster artwork by Creole artist Christina F. Pappion. The honorees of 2026 will also be celebrated for their extraordinary contributions to the city’s cultural and musical heritage.

Festival Day is completely free and open to the public. Come dance, eat and second line your way through living history.
