New Orleans is getting ready for one of its most delicious traditions: the 18th Annual Oak Street Po-boy Festival returns on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM, filling the charming Oak Street corridor in Carrollton with the irresistible smell of the city’s most iconic sandwich.
More than 100 interpretations of the po’boy will be served up by local vendors, from classic roast beef dressed with debris to bold new creations dreamed up just for the festival. Beyond the sandwiches, the celebration includes multiple live music stages with local artists, a VIP area, a Kids Zone, an art market, and a series of history panels telling the story of this beloved New Orleans treasure.
The festival is free to attend, though a wristband is required to purchase po-boys, and a portion of the proceeds supports Son of a Saint, the festival’s nonprofit partner dedicated to mentoring young men in New Orleans. So every bite helps a good cause too.
With its neighborhood vibe, live brass, and hundreds of sandwiches waiting to be tasted, the Oak Street Po-boy Festival is one of the sweetest ways to experience the fall season in New Orleans. Save the date and bring your appetite.
