Gentilly Fest 2026 Brings Three Days of Free Music, Food and Family Fun to Pontchartrain Park

This weekend, the heart of Gentilly beats louder than ever. Gentilly Fest 2026 returns to Pontchartrain Park from Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11, with three full days of live music, local flavor and neighborhood pride — and admission is completely free.

The nonprofit, community-focused festival celebrates everything that makes the Gentilly neighborhood special, filling the park at 5701 Press Drive with continuous live music across three stages. Friday kicks off with an “Evening Under the Stars,” while Saturday and Sunday bring full days of performances from beloved local acts.

Saturday’s lineup builds to a main-stage closing set by New Orleans singer and songwriter Dawn Richard, and Sunday features America’s Got Talent finalist Jourdan Blue. The festival’s popular Gospel Tent returns for both weekend days, showcasing local choirs, churches and gospel artists in one of the most soulful settings of the season.

Beyond the music, festivalgoers can savor dishes from local restaurants and caterers, browse fine arts and crafts from area vendors, and bring the little ones to the Kids’ Village for face painting, pottery making and garden crafts.

Free, family-friendly and full of local spirit, Gentilly Fest is the perfect way to spend a fall weekend in New Orleans.
