Nashville Public Library’s Main Library downtown is a family treasure: its Children’s Theatre hosts the internationally beloved Wishing Chair Productions puppet shows, where handcrafted marionettes bring storybooks to life in magical weekly performances.
Beyond the puppets, the children’s floor offers storytimes, crafts and play spaces, while library branches across Davidson County run everything from LEGO clubs to bilingual story hours and the system-wide summer reading challenge.
Free, welcoming and woven into neighborhood life, the library is often where a Nashville child’s love of stories truly begins — under the spell of a puppet stage.
