Getty Takes Van Gogh, Manet and Cézanne to the Streets of Paris

Los Angeles is sharing its sunshine with Paris this fall! The Getty is bringing some of the most beloved paintings in its collection out of the museum and onto the streets of the French capital, in the form of stunning large-scale reproductions.

Starting October 1, passersby in Paris come face to face with masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh, Édouard Manet, Paul Cézanne, Gustave Caillebotte and Lawrence Alma-Tadema, installed at prominent locations across the city. The open-air celebration, presented with L’Art dans la Ville, turns an everyday stroll into a gallery visit — no ticket required.

It’s a joyful reminder that great art belongs to everyone, and that Los Angeles’ cultural treasures can brighten days on the other side of the world. From the boulevards of Paris to the hills of Brentwood, the Getty keeps finding new ways to make art part of daily life.
