Fall at the Getty is packed with free fun for the whole family. The Getty Center and Getty Villa have announced their full fall 2026 lineup: performances, food and drink events, workshops and family programs running October through December.
The highlight for families is the free Family Festival “LA and Mexico in Focus” on Saturday, October 17 — a day of mariachi music, ballet folklórico and bilingual storytelling at the Getty Center, celebrating the museum’s Mexican photography exhibitions. Admission to the Getty is always free with a timed-entry reservation.
The season also brings hands-on creativity for all ages: free serigraphy workshops (October 4, November 8 and 22, December 13) and bilingual mosaic workshops at the Getty Villa running October through January, plus Artist-at-Work days.
For the grown-ups, the calendar adds flavor too: the “Bacchus Uncorked” ancient-beer tasting on October 10 at the Villa, “Tastemakers” Supper Club evenings on October 11 and November 22, the No Wave night “Ever Present” headlined by the Bush Tetras (October 4), a screening of the documentary “Nova ’78” (October 23) and the Latin American music performance “Canto de Todes” (November 14).
Exhibition talks and curator conversations round out the season through December. A free museum, world-class art and a fall full of music, food and family days — Los Angeles doesn’t get better than this.
