Las Vegas Families Get a Free Holiday Outing: Wetlands Park Family Days and Holiday Lane, Nov. 27–28

Las Vegas families can start the holiday season outdoors, for free, at Clark County Wetlands Park. The park hosts Family Days on Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — a cheerful, self-guided outing designed for all ages during the holiday weekend.

The star of the weekend is the Holiday Lane story walk. Families stroll through the park’s maze of reeds, following a holiday story page by page, then stop to make a craft inspired by the tale and snap a Merry Mini Photo together. Holiday Lane stays open after the weekend, too: visitors can enjoy the story walk and holiday decor free of charge, during daylight hours, from November 27 through December 31.

Make a morning of it at the Nature Center, at 7050 Wetlands Park Lane. Its 10,000-square-foot Exhibit Gallery brings the park’s habitats, wildlife and history to life with interactive displays, dioramas and artwork, and the building also holds a Nature Store, the Lizard Lounge and two art galleries — all free to enter. The Nature Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed November 26 for Thanksgiving), and the preserve trails are open daily from dawn to dusk.

Family Days are free and open to all ages, with check-in at the Nature Center. Bring water, walking shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and enjoy a calm, green corner of Las Vegas before winter arrives. For details, call (702) 455-7522.
