Las Vegas celebrates one of the most storied days in its history on Sunday, November 15, 2026, when The Mob Museum hosts its 14th annual Kefauver Day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 300 Stewart Avenue in downtown Las Vegas.
Nevada residents receive free admission all day with valid identification, such as a driver’s license, a utility bill or a bank statement showing a Nevada name and address. Non-residents can join in with buy-one-get-one-free admission, and everyone saves 10 percent on food and drinks at The Underground speakeasy and the museum’s concessions, excluding souvenir bottles. Tickets are available in person at the box office only, first come, first served, so plan to join the line before 8:45 p.m.
The date matters: on November 15, 1950, the historic courthouse that now houses the museum hosted the Kefauver Committee, the U.S. Senate investigation into organized crime. Las Vegas figures such as Moe Sedway of the Flamingo, Wilbur Clark of the Desert Inn and Clifford Jones, then Nevada’s lieutenant governor, testified here, and nearly 30 million people followed the hearings on television across the country.
All ages are welcome, with children under 14 accompanied by an adult, and the museum recommends the experience for ages 12 and up. The Crime Lab, Firearm Training Simulator and Distillery Tour and Tasting pause for the day, leaving the full museum to explore at a festive, community pace.
