Las Vegas Turns Itself Into a Living Classroom as The Neon Museum’s “Duck Duck Shed” Returns October 23–26

The Neon Museum is giving Las Vegas lovers the gift of the city itself. “Duck Duck Shed,” the museum’s acclaimed annual cultural festival exploring the architecture, design, and identity of Las Vegas, returns October 23–26 for its fourth year with its most exciting lineup yet — turning the whole city into the classroom.

Named after the landmark book Learning from Las Vegas, the four-day experience invites attendees into some of the city’s most storied places: a backstage tour of the International Theater where Elvis headlined for over seven years, a behind-the-scenes look inside Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ at MGM Grand, a curator-led walk through the renowned ARIA fine art collection, and an evening unveiling of the inaugural 2023 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix sign — the newest addition to the museum’s public collection.

The program also celebrates the city’s magic history with storyteller Lance Rich, an all-ages STEAM Family Fest on signs and skylines, a UNLV architecture student competition with a People’s Choice vote, and seven legendary showgirls from Lido de Paris, Jubilee!, and Folies Bergère sharing firsthand stories of the Strip’s golden era.

Tickets go on sale July 20 at duckduckshed.com. For anyone who believes Las Vegas is far more than its neon glow, this is four days of pure city pride.
