Scream for STEAM Brings a Week of Spooky Science to DISCOVERY Children’s Museum, October 25–31

Las Vegas families get a whole week of happy Halloween learning as DISCOVERY Children’s Museum launches Scream for STEAM, running Sunday, October 25 through Saturday, October 31. The celebration fills the museum at 360 Promenade Place with Halloween-themed science, art and engineering activities designed for curious kids and their grown-ups.

Young inventors can try vampire puppet engineering, design their own monster masks and learn to code with Ozobot robots. Hands-on workshops include a Spooky Slime session and a Trick or Treat Bag Design activity, so every visitor leaves with something they made themselves.

Live presentations run all week. Spooky Story Time welcomes little learners ages 5 and under, the Discover Bones demonstration at the Science Bench explores how the human skeleton helps us run, play and dance, and Circuits in a Snap in the DISCOVERY Lab challenges families to power lights and motors with real electrical circuits. Daily favorites add even more fun, from Let’s Go Code! with Carl the Coding Caterpillar for toddlers to Electrifying Encounters and the afternoon puppet show in the Riseman Family Theatre.

The week opens on Sunday, October 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and continues during regular museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is a joyful way for Las Vegas families to mix costumes, creativity and real science — come if you dare, says Happy City News.
