The Neon Museum just got a little more delicious: the nonprofit museum has added the original neon sign of Pride of Philly Steaks — beloved by locals as “P.O.P.S.” — to its permanent collection.
The sign shone over the family restaurant’s A-frame building at 501 S. Decatur Blvd. since it opened in 2002, becoming part of the visual landscape for generations of Las Vegans. It was donated after the property’s complete renovation and the business’s expansion into a mobile operation.
Second-generation owner Christina Walton said it’s an honor to preserve her father’s legacy and to have the piece live on at the museum. Executive Director Aaron Berger celebrated that the sign belongs to the memories of so many locals, and that preserving it honors that history.
The addition was toasted with a private friends-and-family gathering — another bright chapter for the museum that keeps Las Vegas history glowing.
