AfriFEST Returns to Houston: A Vibrant Celebration of African Arts and Culture on Nov. 7

Houston is getting ready to dance to the rhythms of Africa. On Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the 13th annual Houston AfriFEST — the city’s festival of African arts, culture and entertainment — returns for a full day of music, color and joy.

The festival turns Houston’s celebrated diversity into one big celebration. Attendees can enjoy live music and traditional dances, browse art exhibitions, shop the African market and taste authentic African cuisine from across the continent — a joyful journey through Africa and its diaspora with folklore, drumming, afrobeats, jazz and R&B lighting up the main stage. The littlest festival-goers get their very own Children’s Safari.

Entry is free for kids, veterans and seniors, and pre-sale tickets are already live and 100% free. The festival is supported in part by the Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and the Houston Arts Alliance, and is presented by NAMC. All are invited to celebrate and explore Africa.
