Downtown Houston is about to fill with color, rhythm and pure joy. IGBO Fest Houston, billed as the largest West African festival, arrives at the Jones Lawn in Discovery Green on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., for a day of unforgettable cultural celebration.
Hosted by the Ndi Ichie Cultural Association, the festival brings masquerades and cultural performances from across the United States. Headliners include Kleopatra, Igwe Cultural Entertainment and the breathtaking IJELE masquerade, a towering masked figure that embodies the Igbo spirit of community, pride and festivity.
Visitors can soak up live music, traditional dances, dazzling costumes, crafts and flavors on the Jones Lawn, the park’s largest green space, with its sweeping views of the downtown skyline. More information is available at igbofesthouston.org.
It is a joyful celebration of the heritage and diversity that make Houston shine brighter every day. Everyone is welcome to join the party.
