Denver’s holiday season gets a deliciously old-fashioned celebration on Saturday, December 12, when Four Mile Historic Park hosts Brunch with Father Christmas from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families are invited to slow down, share a festive meal and enjoy a morning of holiday activities in a cozy Victorian-inspired setting at the park, at 715 S. Forest Street.
The heart of the morning is a delightful brunch buffet shared with a very special guest: Father Christmas himself, who visits with families throughout the event. Around the table, the celebration keeps unfolding with a Sugar Plum Donut Station, Victorian Christmas crafts to make and take home, and a special Christmas edition of the park’s beloved Tales & Tails story time for young children and their caregivers.
Beyond brunch, the whole park joins the party. The Four Mile House Museum will be beautifully decorated in Victorian-style holiday dĆ©cor for historic house tours, and families can climb aboard a tractor ride through the frosty farm, bundled up under warm blankets ā a true Four Mile favorite. The cheerful Merry Marketplace offers a chance to finish holiday shopping, and the Yule Log Hunt sends guests searching the grounds, with a delicious yule log cake waiting for the winner.
It is a warm, unhurried way to celebrate the season together ā good food, handmade crafts, stories and a little friendly competition, all in one of Denver’s most historic places. The park suggests joining its newsletter for early ticket news, straight from Father Christmas himself.
