Denver Art Museum Becomes Exclusive U.S. Home of V&A’s Dazzling ‘DIVA’ Exhibition

Denver is about to get its groove on! The Denver Art Museum has just unveiled DIVA, the blockbuster exhibition from London’s legendary Victoria & Albert Museum — and Denver is its exclusive U.S. stop. Opening October 4, 2026, the show runs through January 31, 2027, on level two of the museum’s Hamilton building.

DIVA is a sparkling two-act celebration of the world’s most electrifying performers, with more than 200 objects, nearly 60 stage costumes and almost 100 divas spanning opera, dance, theater, film and pop music. Visitors will journey from 19th-century opera legends like Jenny Lind and Adelina Patti to 20th-century icons such as Maria Callas, Marilyn Monroe and Tina Turner — before diving into the modern diva era with Aretha Franklin, Cher, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

Two Denver-exclusive highlights make this stop extra special: a tribute to Mexican cinema legend María Félix, and a showcase featuring two costumes from Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl tour alongside her 2023 TIME Magazine Person of the Year cover. The exhibition also celebrates how divas have used fashion and performance to empower themselves and drive social change — all set to an immersive audio experience that fills the galleries with their unforgettable music.

If there was ever a reason to unleash your inner diva, this is it. Head to the Denver Art Museum and let the show begin!
