The Beloved 12 Days of Christmas Gazebos Take Their Final Bow at the Dallas Arboretum

Dallas is about to sing its favorite Christmas carol one last time. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has announced that the 2026 season will be the grand finale of its magical 12 Days of Christmas gazebos, the beloved exhibit that has turned the garden into a winter wonderland since 2014.

Twelve stunning 25-foot-tall glass gazebos, each bringing a verse of the classic carol to life with animated characters like the Eleven Pipers Piping, the Eight Maids a-Milking and the Four Calling Birds, have welcomed hundreds of thousands of families over twelve seasons. What was originally designed as a five-year run grew into one of North Texas’s most treasured holiday traditions, with families building their December memories around these glowing Victorian-style pavilions.

“The Arboretum made the decision to retire the Gazebos with the dignity they deserve,” said Sabina H. Carr, the Arboretum’s president and CEO, promising Dallas a proper send-off for twelve years of Christmas memories rather than letting the experience fade.

The final season runs from November 11, 2026 through January 3, 2027, with special programming and celebrations honoring the exhibit’s legacy. Guests can also stroll through the charming Christmas Village, admire the festive decor of the historic DeGolyer House and enjoy more than a million lights at Holiday at Night. And the magic continues: in 2027 the garden will debut HYBYCOZO, a dazzling light sculpture installation for the holidays.
