The March of the Triceratops: A World-First Dino Herd Heads to Dallas in Summer 2027

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is about to become a dinosaur destination like no other. The museum has just announced it will be the first museum in all of North America to host the world tour of The March of the Triceratops, an extraordinary exhibition opening in July 2027.

The star attraction is truly one of a kind: five complete Triceratops skeletons from the only herd of these iconic dinosaurs ever discovered. Found together in a single rock layer in Wyoming, these 68- to 66-million-year-old giants — more than 1,200 bones and fossil fragments — tell a brand-new story about how Triceratops lived, grew, and may even have traveled together as a group.

The experience goes far beyond fossils. Developed by the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in the Netherlands, the exhibition brings the Late Cretaceous world to life with immersive soundscapes, animations, augmented reality, life-size models, and hands-on fossil discovery stations where kids can think like real paleontologists.

After wowing audiences in the Netherlands, Abu Dhabi, and Auckland, Dallas gets the North American debut — and the only U.S. stop. A perfect reason to plan ahead and make the Perot Museum part of your family’s summer 2027.
