The Perot Museum of Nature and Science just made adventurers across Texas smile. The museum has announced the return of its beloved National Geographic Live Speaker Series, with a three-part 2027 season that will transport Dallas audiences from the African savanna to the depths of the world’s most mysterious caves.
The season kicks off on February 24, 2027, with National Geographic Explorer Jen Guyton and her talk “African Savanna Exposed.” On May 12, 2027, astrophotographer Babak Tafreshi will guide the audience through “Earth After Dark,” a stunning journey across night skies and nocturnal landscapes. The season closes on September 29, 2027, with cave photographer Robbie Shone’s “Adventures in Caving,” exploring underground worlds few people ever see.
Each 90-minute program begins at 6:30 pm in the museum’s Hogland Foundation Theater, located at 2201 N. Field Street in Dallas. Single-program tickets are $39 for members and $45 for the general public, while three-series passes run $105 for members and $125 for the public. Member presale runs October 6–7, 2026, with public tickets on sale starting October 9.
First announced on October 6, 2026, this is fresh programming at its best: real explorers, real stories, and real photography from the frontiers of the planet — a perfect plan for curious minds of all ages in Dallas.
