The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden turned two acres of Franklin Park Conservatory into the most joyful classroom in Columbus — a garden built at kid height, for kid questions.
Young gardeners splash at the water play stream, dig in the planting beds, weave through a wetland boardwalk, climb, build with natural materials and hunt for pollinators doing their work among native plantings. Seasonal programming — story times, garden chefs, family days — keeps every visit a little different.
It links beautifully with the Conservatory’s indoor biomes: butterflies in the morning, garden adventures after lunch.
Admission covers both the glass houses and the garden. Muddy shoes guaranteed; boredom impossible.
