Halloween night in Boston just got a whole lot more magical. The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) invites adults to celebrate “ICA Halloween: It’s Magic!”, a spellbinding soirée on Saturday, October 31, from 8 PM to midnight — exactly 100 years after Harry Houdini’s final vanishing act.
This year the party goes all-inclusive: one ticket covers an open bar and a generous spread of savory bites, vegetarian specialties, artisan breads, house-made dips, and sweet treats served all evening long. On stage, the award-winning magicians of Boston Magic Lab will deliver mesmerizing illusions, tarot reader Liz Callahan will offer personal readings, and DJ Kon — hailed by Soul Clap as “the best Disco/Funk/Soul/Boogie DJ in the world” — keeps the dance floor enchanted until late.
The dress code is “dark elegance”: think mysterious, chic, and dramatic. This is a 21+ event — IDs are checked at the door — and costumes involving cultural appropriation, discrimination, or fake weapons are not welcome, keeping the night inclusive and safe for everyone. Note that the ICA galleries and store will be closed during the event.
Tickets are limited, and there’s a hurry-up hook: special advance prices ($100 for ICA members, $125 for nonmembers) are available only through Friday, October 9; prices rise to $125/$150 starting October 10. Claim yours before they vanish. Happy City News wishes you a magical Halloween in Boston!
