Winter in Boston is about to get a whole lot brighter. Meet Boston has announced the second annual Boston Frostival, an expanded season of cold-weather magic designed to keep the city’s visitor spirit glowing from December all the way into spring.
The festivities lift off with three Saturdays of holiday drone shows over Boston Common — December 5, 12, and 19 — with illuminated aerial performances at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. each evening. Then, on January 22, the Frostival Lodge opens in Copley Square with a larger footprint, delicious food, entertainment, and literary programming, all furnished by Wayfair.
February brings back a beloved favorite: the 75-foot Frostival Ferris wheel returns to the Rose Kennedy Greenway, offering panoramic views of the waterfront and beyond, and this time it keeps spinning through April 25.
The Frostival weaves together Boston’s signature winter joys — holiday lights, ice skating, tree lightings, live theater, and more — with brand-new experiences, connecting seasonal attractions to the city’s cultural, dining, entertainment, and sports calendar. Bundle up and enjoy every sparkling moment.
