The sweetest sign that the holidays have arrived in Dallas is about to take the stage. Happy City News is delighted to share that Texas Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker at the Winspear Opera House from November 27 to December 6, 2026, a beloved tradition choreographed by Ben Stevenson, O.B.E.
Clara’s magical Christmas Eve journey unfolds in the Winspear’s jewel-box auditorium: the battle with the Mouse King, the sparkling Snow Scene and the Land of Sweets, all carried by Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score. Texas Ballet Theatre — the resident company of both the Winspear and Bass Hall — fills the stage with its professional dancers alongside young performers from the community.
The production is a perfect first ballet for children and a cherished ritual for longtime fans, with matinee and evening performances across two weekends in the heart of the Dallas Arts District. Families can make a full festive outing of it, pairing the show with the district’s holiday lights and dining.
Tickets are on sale now through Texas Ballet Theatre. If your season needs a little more wonder, Clara and her Nutcracker Prince are waiting at 2403 Flora Street.
