Party Like It’s 1928: “Puttin’ on the Ritz” Returns to the Swan House This November

Atlanta is about to travel back in time — and the destination is pure 1928 glamour. On Friday, November 13, the Atlanta History Center brings back its beloved after-hours party, History on the Rocks: Puttin’ on the Ritz, for another roaring night at the iconic Swan House.

Guests will step onto the grand lawn of the historic 1928 mansion for a night straight out of the Jazz Age: live jazz filling the evening air, classic lawn games, a live distillery demonstration, and the rare chance to explore the Swan House itself with friends. Flapper dresses and dapper suits are the unofficial dress code — it’s the bees knees, after all.

The party starts at 7:30 p.m. and is open to adults 21 and over. Tickets are just $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers when purchased in advance ($25 at the door), and every ticket includes a complimentary first drink, with more available at the onsite bar.

The evening is part of the History Center’s centennial celebration year, honoring 100 years of sharing Atlanta’s story. Gather your friends, put on your best vintage look, and get ready to dance the night away beneath the stars in Buckhead. See you at the Ritz!
