Minneapolis, get ready to grow your heart three sizes. Children’s Theatre Company brings back its beloved holiday tradition, Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, running November 3, 2026 through January 3, 2027 on the UnitedHealthcare Stage.
The musical follows the grouchy Grinch, who schemes to steal Christmas from the cheerful Whos of Who-ville — until little Cindy-Lou Who and a feast he never expected show him what the season is really about. Reed Sigmund returns as the Grinch, leading a cast that brings Dr. Seuss’s world to life in a production the Star Tribune has called a piece of theatre magic.
The show runs about two hours with one intermission, is best enjoyed by children ages 4 and up, and offers an ASL-interpreted performance on Friday, November 20 at 7 p.m. Single tickets start at $25 and are on sale now through the theatre’s box office.
Children’s Theatre Company, at 2400 3rd Avenue South and sharing its building with the Minneapolis Institute of Art, has been making holiday memories for Twin Cities families for decades. This one sells out fast every year — book early, and let the feast begin.
