Día de Muertos Festival Brings Free Celebration to Seattle Center October 31-November 1

Seattle Center’s Armory fills with marigolds, music and memory on Halloween weekend. Día de Muertos Festival Seattle returns Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Armory Food & Event Hall — free and open to the public, as part of the Seattle Center Festál series of 25 free cultural festivals.

The Armory floor becomes a hands-on celebration all weekend: calaveritas de azúcar (sugar skull) workshops, a skeleton workshop and paper flower making on the main floor, grabado (printmaking) and face painting on the balcony, and a traditional tapete sand painting taking shape in the lofts, alongside community altars honoring loved ones who have passed.

On the Armory stage, Saturday’s program runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with CeAtl Tonalli, Joyas Mestizas, Correo Aéreo, Amaya Sanz, Mariachi PLU / Federal Way HS, Grupo Cultural Oaxaqueño and Huehca Omeyocan. Local vendors round out the hall with art, crafts and sweets, including Bella Lulli, Princesa Azteca and Todo en Dulce.

Produced in partnership with the Día de Muertos Festival Seattle community organization, it is one of the warmest weekends of the Seattle fall: a celebration of life, family and remembrance at the foot of the Space Needle, and everyone is invited.
