Seattle is about to witness its most stylish runway yet — inside an aviation museum. On Saturday, November 7, The Museum of Flight teams up once again with Fashion District NW for Fashion in Flight, an evening where fashion literally takes flight on the runway, surrounded by the museum’s historic aircraft.
The show celebrates designers from around the Pacific Northwest, including By Tinarie, La’ Mama’s Hands, Marina Safina, Shalom Aburu, Soul Mates Bridal and Takke One Second. Guests can arrive early to browse designer booths, enjoy a live DJ and strike a pose for red-carpet photos before the runway show begins at 7:00 PM — then stay for an after-party with a meet-and-greet with the designers and models.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and the night wraps up at 11:00 PM. The event is open to ages 10 and up, and everyone is encouraged to dress fashionably — red-carpet interviews will be part of the evening. Tickets are $139 for VIP (front-row seating, one free drink and free parking) or $99 for second and third-row seats in the Great Gallery, also with free parking.
Best of all, the evening supports a great cause: the event is a fundraiser for The Museum of Flight, a nonprofit institution. A runway, vintage aircraft and a night of Northwest creativity — a combination only Seattle could pull off.
