Seattle’s South Lake Union Shines This Fall: Markets, Craft Nights, Cider and Lakeside Bites

Fall in Seattle has a way of making every neighborhood glow — and right now, South Lake Union is shining brighter than ever.

Visit Seattle’s fall guide to the neighborhood is packed with seasonal reasons to visit. The free Made in SLU drop-in craft series returns to Nitro Plaza every other Wednesday — including a floral-and-moss pumpkin topper session on October 28 that’s pure autumn joy. The SLU Farmers Market runs Saturdays through November 21 with more than 100 booths of Washington-grown produce, fresh flowers, and local treats. And FareStart Guest Chef Nights pair world-class dining with a great cause, supporting the nonprofit’s job-training program — this season featuring Chef Ethan Stowell.

Between the markets, the craft nights, and the cider and lakeside bites, South Lake Union makes for a perfect fall day trip. Hop on the South Lake Union Streetcar from Westlake Center for the most charming ride in town, and don’t miss the Amazon Spheres glowing in the heart of the neighborhood.

This fall, SLU is Seattle at its warmest. Go explore!
