San Francisco’s favorite Halloween tradition is back! The California Academy of Sciences invites families to SuperNatural, the Bay Area’s most enchanting all-ages Halloween celebration, on Saturday, October 24, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. (VIP entry begins at 5 p.m.). Costumes and curiosity are warmly encouraged.
The evening unfolds across the Academy’s beloved exhibits: shake your bones at a silent disco inside the Steinhart Aquarium with HUSHConcerts, satisfy your sweet tooth at trick-or-treat stations, and see what slithers and scuttles at live animal demonstrations with the Lindsay Wildlife Experience. Brave visitors can hold on tight atop a festive giant spider ride, gaze at the stars on the Living Roof with San Francisco Amateur Astronomers, and meet mad scientists showcasing unusual specimens.
Face painting, a photo booth, games, and an exclusive lounge for middle schoolers round out the fun. Presenting sponsor Zenni Optical will offer free vision screenings for kids, who will also receive a free pair of EyeQLenz glasses.
General admission tickets start at $45, with discounts for Academy members. Tickets and details are available on the Academy’s SuperNatural page.
