NightLife: Pajammy Jam Brings a Cozy Pajama Party to the California Academy of Sciences

San Francisco’s favorite after-hours museum party is getting cozy. On Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., the California Academy of Sciences hosts NightLife: Pajammy Jam, a 21-and-over evening that invites guests to show up in their favorite pajamas and explore the museum after dark.

NightLife is the Academy’s beloved Thursday-night series, turning the rainforest, the aquarium, the planetarium and the iconic living roof into an adults-only playground with music, cocktails and science. The Pajammy Jam edition leans all the way into comfort: think flannel, onesies and slipper-friendly exploring, with the museum’s creatures and exhibits glowing under the night lights of Golden Gate Park.

The Academy, at 55 Music Concourse Drive, is one of the world’s great natural history museums, home to an aquarium, a four-story rainforest under glass, a planetarium and a coral reef. Seeing it at night, drink in hand and pajamas on, is a San Francisco experience all its own — part science outing, part slumber party, all fun.

Tickets for NightLife are sold through the Academy’s official site, and members receive discounted admission. Happy City News recommends booking ahead, as popular NightLife themes can sell out. Throw on your best pajamas and join the jam.
