Celebrate Filipino American Culture at the Asian Art Museum’s Kasama Festival

Mark your calendars for a joyful celebration of Filipino American culture. The Asian Art Museum invites families to its annual Kasama Festival on Sunday, October 18, 2026, held during Filipino American History Month. “Kasama” loosely translates from Tagalog as “together” — and the full day of programming, starting at 10:30 a.m., lives up to the name.

Highlights include a children’s book talk with author Michelle Sterling, a lumpia tasting at 12:30 p.m., a shadow puppet show by ShadowLight Productions, the energetic tinikling dance of the LIKHA Pilipino Folk Ensemble, and a DJ set by JP Breganza. Drop-in art activities run all day, so little ones can create something to take home.

Festival admission is free with museum admission — a perfect Sunday for families in San Francisco. Details at asianart.org.
