San Diego families, clear a Saturday morning for pure hands-on building joy. On Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Kidspace returns to the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum in Escondido, inviting kids and their grown-ups into the museum’s popular monthly Saturday build series, this time themed “Everything Is Awesome: Brick Building and Strawbees Down on the Farm.”
The morning turns the museum into a farmyard of imagination built entirely by small hands. Young builders can design and race their own LEGO car, snap together electronic Strawbees creations, engineer a working LEGO zip line, and help decorate a giant collaborative farm mural. Kidspace is the museum’s monthly Saturday program dedicated to science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM), where each session brings a fresh theme and fresh challenges for curious minds.
The San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum is a nonprofit children’s museum in the heart of Escondido whose mission is to inspire children to learn about our world through exploration, imagination and experimentation. Its indoor and outdoor discovery spaces are made for toddlers through elementary-age kids who learn best by touching, building and trying things out.
Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members, and this program often sells out, so reserving ahead on the museum’s website is a smart move. Gather your master builders, head to Escondido, and let everything be awesome.
