Holiday evenings are about to glow in Encinitas. Lightscape returns to San Diego Botanic Garden for its highly anticipated fifth season, running from November 20 through January 3, and Happy City News families are invited to step into a world of light, color and imagination.
The heart of the experience is a mile-long illuminated trail that winds through the Garden after dark. This year the route has been reimagined with more than 20 vibrant new installations created by artists from around the world, alongside a few returning favorites that families have loved in past seasons. Every turn brings a new scene to discover together, making it an easy, joyful stroll for kids and grown-ups alike.
Along the way, visitors can enjoy lively music and seasonal bites as they wander. It is the kind of outing that turns into a holiday tradition: bundle up, take your time, stop for photos, and let the little ones lead the way from one glowing display to the next.
Tickets are on sale now, and the Garden notes that dates sell out quickly. General admission starts at $28 for adults and $18 for children, with little ones ages 2 and under admitted free. Prices vary by date, members receive 20 percent off standard tickets, and discounts are available for military visitors. Advance parking can be added for $15 per vehicle.
San Diego Botanic Garden is located at 300 Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas. Choose your night early, reserve your spot, and get ready to make holiday memories that shine.
