Shakespeare is coming to the neighborhood — and it’s completely free. The Old Globe has announced the 2026 Globe for All Tour, its beloved community touring program now in its 12th year, and this season the company is bringing the Bard’s thrilling tragedy Macbeth to 25 venues across San Diego County and Tijuana, Mexico.
The four-week tour runs Tuesday, October 27 through Saturday, November 21, 2026, carrying professional theatre to economically, geographically, and culturally diverse communities — parks, libraries, community centers, and schools where world-class Shakespeare shows up right at your doorstep. Admission to community performances is free, with one low-cost performance at The Old Globe’s House of Charm in Balboa Park.
This year’s production is directed by Marcela Lorca (The Old Globe’s Stir, Globe for All’s Julius Caesar) and features a company of nine talented actors. Conner Keef takes the title role of Macbeth opposite Stephanie Hinck as the fiercely ambitious Lady Macbeth — both recent graduates of The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program. They are joined by Lance D. Bush, Trevor Butler, Madi Goff, Susane Lee, and local San Diego actors Alejandra Villanueva and Maya Sofia Enciso. The release also revealed the winning artwork from the Macbeth community design contest.
Expect witches, omens, and restless spirits in one of Shakespeare’s most electrifying tales of power and consequence — perfect for the fall season. For the full list of venues, dates, and times, visit TheOldGlobe.org/GlobeForAll.
