San Antonio families who love to build, take things apart and ask how everything works have a date to circle: TinkerFest returns to The DoSeum on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and this year’s edition is all about the power of play — literally.
Called TinkerFest: Power Play, the annual celebration invites tinkerers, makers and creators of all ages to dive into how things are made and how they work through hands-on activities and interactive experiences all over San Antonio’s museum just for children, at 2800 Broadway.
The star attractions promise real sparks. CPS Energy will present live high-voltage demonstrations, including its Arc & Spark show, while families can try hand-powered generators, enjoy Van de Graaff fun that makes hair stand on end, and experiment at circuitry stations that teach how electrical circuits and mechanical energy work — all in a safe, playful setting designed for curious kids.
Best of all, every TinkerFest activity is included with general admission, so a regular family day at The DoSeum turns into a full day of inventing, testing and discovering together. Grab the whole family and get ready to feel the power!
