Reading and storytelling are about to become the most fun things in San Antonio! The DoSeum presents the very first W.O.W Festival, a kids’ literature and culture festival, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The DoSeum, 2800 Broadway — and all activities are included with museum admission.
From morning to afternoon, little readers can dive into new books with author story times featuring Dr. J. Desiree Rodriguez, Hazell Thomas, Dr. Tivy Whitlock, Denise Montgomery, Dr. Yolanda Carter, TJ Void, Ray Young, and Tiffany Obeng. The celebration keeps going with spectacular performances by Adrenaline Dance Studio, the San Antonio Lion Dancers, Opera SA, and more, plus interactive literary activations throughout the day that make words, stories, and books come alive.
The W.O.W Festival is presented in collaboration with Literature Matters, a wonderful reminder that reading is both joyful and powerful. Whether your kids are bookworms already or are just discovering the magic of a great story, this festival is the perfect way to spend a fall Saturday together.
Come make reading and storytelling wonderfully fun — the first W.O.W Festival happens only once!
