The i.d.e.a. Museum in downtown Mesa exists for one mission: imagination. Its galleries invite children to draw, build, design and invent their way through art-meets-science exhibitions that change through the year.
The beloved ArtVille play village gives toddlers a town of their own — with a mini grocery, a performing stage and soft spaces — while older kids tackle design challenges, animation and hands-on making in the HUB gallery.
As the East Valley’s children’s art headquarters, it pairs beautifully with a Mesa day of the Arizona Museum of Natural History nearby: dinosaurs in the morning, designing after lunch.
