Philadelphia loves to run! Organizers of Philadelphia Marathon Weekend announced that both the TIAA Philadelphia Marathon and the Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon have officially sold out — the earliest sellout in the race’s 33-year history.
Even after adding 3,000 extra spots for 2026, demand was unstoppable. More than 40,000 runners are expected to take over the city’s historic streets on November 20–22, racing past landmarks in one of America’s most beloved running weekends.
City officials celebrated the milestone as a testament to the event’s growth and the dedication of the Philadelphia team, volunteers, and cheering crowds that line the course. From the full 26.2 miles to the 13.1-mile half, plus the Rothman Orthopaedics 8K and the Philadelphia Kid’s Run, there’s a distance for every runner.
Didn’t get a bib? The energy is just as electric from the sidelines — come cheer, volunteer, and soak up the big-city race magic this November!
