Philadelphia gets a splash of cartoon color this November when BOOP! The Musical takes the stage at the Academy of Music from November 17 to 29, 2026, as part of Ensemble Arts’ Broadway series.
The fresh-from-Broadway production brings the iconic Betty Boop to life. Betty is tired and wishes for a day off, so Grampy builds a time machine that transports her to modern-day New York City, a world filled with color, new friends and even a love interest. But duty calls, and Betty must choose: stay in her colorful new world, or return home to her cartoon world?
It is a joyful, family-friendly premise staged in one of the city’s most beautiful historic theaters on Broad Street, where generations of Philadelphia audiences have discovered Broadway tours. The run is short, just under two weeks, so theater lovers who want to catch Betty’s big decision should plan ahead.
BOOP! The Musical runs November 17-29, 2026 at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. Tickets are on sale now, and six-show subscriptions for the Broadway series can help regulars save.
