New York City is ready to sparkle like never before. NYC Tourism + Conventions has officially invited travelers from around the globe to experience the magic of the 2026 holiday season, with iconic traditions and fresh surprises across all five boroughs — and a record 8.1 million visitors expected.
The festivities kick off with Diwali at Times Square on October 24, the largest South Asian Festival of Lights celebration in North America, featuring live music, dance, art and cuisine. Then comes a true milestone: the 100th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26, with giant helium balloons, imaginative floats, Broadway casts and celebrity appearances along the classic route to Herald Square.
The beloved Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes returns November 4 through January 4 with a brand-new number, immersive technology and a record-breaking 230 performances. Meanwhile, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker enchants at Lincoln Center, the Holiday Train Show lights up the New York Botanical Garden, and Rockefeller Center glows with its world-famous tree. The season wraps with the legendary Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, where visitors can even submit wishes to be printed on the midnight confetti.
