New Orleans is about to light up — literally. LUNA Fête, the nation’s longest-running large-scale projection mapping festival, returns to downtown for its 12th edition this November 13–15, from 5 to 10 p.m. nightly.
Presented by Arts New Orleans, the free public festival turns historic architecture into a playground of light: LED installations, lasers, and projected artworks spanning from Gallier Hall to the Piazza d’Italia. This year’s theme, The Puppetry Parade, celebrates the magic of puppetry through light, movement, and imagination.
Launched in 2014, LUNA Fête brings together local, national, and international artists to transform public spaces through light, art, and technology — a free, family-friendly experience that has become a signature fall tradition for the Crescent City.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local rediscovering your city, this three-night celebration is pure New Orleans magic. Mark the calendar — and bring the kids.
