National Fried Chicken Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary at the New Orleans Lakefront

One of the tastiest weekends of the year is about to get even bigger. The National Fried Chicken Festival returns to New Orleans October 9–11, 2026, celebrating its 10th anniversary at a brand-new home: the New Orleans Lakefront.

Fresh off being named “Best Food Festival” in Gambit’s 2026 Best of New Orleans — and crowned the “Coachella of New Orleans” — the festival is rolling out a feast of experiences: dozens of local and national food vendors serving up their crispiest creations, a powerhouse music lineup led by Nelly, 2 Chainz, and Dillon Francis, the NOTCF vendor marketplace, a 5K run, a beer garden, and plenty of family-friendly fun by the water.

Since 2016, the festival has served millions of pounds of fried chicken and become one of the city’s most joyful fall traditions. This year’s move to the Lakefront opens a whole new chapter — more space, more flavor, and those gorgeous lakeside sunsets.

Single-day and weekend passes are on sale now at friedchickenfestival.com. Come hungry, stay happy — New Orleans does it better.
